Overview

CASIN is a small molecule inhibitor that selectively targets Cdc42, a Rho GTPase protein involved in cell cycle regulation, migration, morphology, and endocytosis. It acts by binding to Cdc42-GDP and inhibiting the dissociation of GDP, reducing Cdc42 activity. CASIN has demonstrated the ability to rejuvenate aged hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in vitro and in vivo by restoring cell polarity and histone H4K16 acetylation, and improving HSC repopulation ability. It is currently a research tool in preclinical development and has not been approved for human use.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
