The product is used for both diagnostic allergy testing and for therapeutic hyposensitization (allergen immunotherapy) in patients with confirmed allergies to this specific pollen. The mechanism of action involves modulating the patient's immune response to the allergen, inducing a state of tolerance. This is achieved by promoting a shift in T-cell responses and stimulating the production of blocking IgG antibodies, which reduces the IgE-mediated allergic reaction upon natural exposure to the pollen.
