Overview

Catequentinib (formerly known as anlotinib in China) is a multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) inhibitor that targets several proteins including vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR1-3), fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR1-3), platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRβ), c-Kit and RET. It is being investigated for its antineoplastic and anti-angiogenic potential across multiple cancer types. The drug is administered orally, typically in a 21-day cycle with 14 days on and 7 days off. Catequentinib is approved in China for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in patients who have undergone progression or recurrence after at least two lines of systemic chemotherapy, as well as for advanced soft-tissue sarcoma.
