Caulerpa racemosa extract is derived from the green seaweed Caulerpa racemosa (also known as green caviar or sea grapes). The extract contains various bioactive compounds including alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, steroids, tannins, and carotenoids. Research has demonstrated multiple biological activities including anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and potential antiviral properties. The extract has shown promising results in inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis in various cancer cell lines, particularly in non-small cell lung cancer and cervical cancer. It also demonstrates potential as a plant biostimulant in agricultural applications.
