Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cavity Cleanser is a dental product consisting of a 2% solution of chlorhexidine digluconate, designed for cleansing and moistening or re-wetting cavity preparations during restorative dental procedures. Its primary use is to remove debris and bacteria from prepared tooth cavities after preparation or etching, prior to sealing the dentinal tubules. This process may help decrease post-operative sensitivity and can enhance bond strength when used as a re-wetting agent on overly dried dentin before bonding. The solution is clear, odorless, and has a pH between 5.4–6.5[1][2][3][5][7].
