Overview

CAY10444 (also known as BML-241) is a small molecule research compound that acts as a selective antagonist for the sphingosine-1-phosphate 3 (S1P3) receptor. It demonstrates selectivity for S1P3 over the S1P1 receptor and is used to inhibit S1P-induced increases in intracellular calcium. Developed by Cayman Chemical, CAY10444 is utilized as a laboratory tool to investigate the role of S1P3 signaling in various biological processes, including ischemia/reperfusion injury and the migration of malignant cells in glioblastoma multiforme. It is not intended for human use and is not currently being developed as a therapeutic agent by any pharmaceutical company.
