Overview
CB-25 (also known as Crotalin) is a preclinical-stage combination therapeutic being developed by Spotlight Innovation through its subsidiary, Celtic Biotech. It is a peptide-based product consisting of two specific components derived from the venom of the South American rattlesnake (*Crotalus durissus terrificus*): CB-24 (Crotoxin) and CB-4. The drug is designed to exploit the selective cytotoxic properties of these venom peptides against malignant cells. CB-25 is primarily being investigated for the treatment of solid tumors, including brain tumors and melanoma, and is also being developed for veterinary oncology, specifically for mast cell tumors in dogs.
