CB001 is a designation used for at least three distinct therapeutic assets. The most clinically advanced is **ZL-1102** (formerly CB001), a novel anti-IL-17A **Humabody** (a VH domain-only antibody fragment) developed by **Crescendo Biologics** and licensed to **Zai Lab**. It is specifically engineered for topical administration to treat chronic plaque psoriasis, leveraging its small molecular size for enhanced skin penetration while minimizing systemic exposure. A second asset named CB001 was developed by **ViaCell** as an ex vivo selectively amplified unrelated cord blood stem cell product intended for hematopoietic reconstitution in patients with hematological malignancies. Finally, CB001 also refers to a preclinical small molecule inhibitor of **cFLIP** (cellular FADD-like IL-1β-converting enzyme-inhibitory protein) being investigated for its ability to overcome BRAF inhibitor resistance and enhance natural killer cell-mediated killing in melanoma.
