CB04

CB04 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the C3b receptor (CR1), a surface molecule expressed on human monocytes, tissue macrophages, B cells, polymorphonucleates, and erythrocytes. The antibody defines the CR1 structure, which is the receptor for the C3b fragment of the complement. In research settings, the binding of CB04 to CR1 has been shown to induce a progression signal in malignant B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) cells, making them responsive to B cell growth factor. Additionally, the antibody's binding to the cell surface induces inhibition of the C3bi receptorial function. This drug candidate is currently in the research or preclinical stage of development.
