Overview

CB11 is a small molecule mitochondrial protectant and potent inducer of mitochondrial biogenesis. Originally identified from a ChemBridge DiverSET library screen, CB11 has been shown to preserve mitochondrial capacity, reduce mitochondrial fission, and promote mitochondrial fusion. It is being investigated for the treatment of acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and retinal degenerative diseases, such as retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration.
