Overview

CB401 is a complement-targeting biologic currently in preclinical development by Cascade Biotechnology for the treatment of Myasthenia Gravis. The therapeutic candidate is built upon Cascade's proprietary sC3 (Complement Depleting Protein) platform, which is designed to modulate the complement system pathway to prevent immune-mediated damage. In Myasthenia Gravis, the activation of the complement cascade at the neuromuscular junction is a key driver of pathology, leading to the destruction of acetylcholine receptors and subsequent muscle weakness. CB401 is intended to inhibit this complement-mediated damage. As of the latest pipeline updates, the program is in the early discovery stage, specifically undergoing in vitro research.
