Overview

CBA-1535 (also known as Tb535H) is a trispecific antibody drug designed as a T-cell engager for cancer immunotherapy. It targets the 5T4/WAIF1 tumor-associated antigen, which is expressed on various solid tumors and contributes to cancer cell spread. The molecule has three antigen-binding sites—two bind to the 5T4 protein on tumor cells and one binds to CD3 on T cells—enabling it to recruit and activate cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) against tumor cells. This mechanism is anticipated to induce strong anti-tumor cytotoxicity through T cell proliferation and activation. CBA-1535 is being developed primarily for refractory cancers such as malignant mesothelioma, small cell lung cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, kidney cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and other solid tumors. The drug was originally developed by Biotecnol in collaboration with Cancer Research UK and is currently being further developed by Chiome Bioscience[1][3][5].
