Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CBE-101 (also known as Savi-CORD) is an allogeneic, expanded cord blood-derived hematopoietic stem cell therapy developed by Cell BioEngines. It is designed for patients with hematological malignancies who require a stem cell transplant but lack a suitable human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matched donor. The therapy utilizes the proprietary Stem-SPACE™ epigenetic regulatory technology to expand hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) ex vivo while maintaining their stemness and engraftment potential. By providing a significantly higher dose of HSPCs than conventional cord blood units, CBE-101 aims to overcome the common challenges of delayed engraftment and high infection rates associated with traditional cord blood transplantation.
