Overview

**CBL-514** is Caliway Biopharmaceuticals' investigational, locally administered subcutaneous lipolysis injection for non-surgical reduction of abdominal subcutaneous fat. It is a proprietary fixed combination of the small molecules **curcumin** and **trans-resveratrol**. Caliway describes the product as inducing adipocyte apoptosis and lipolysis locally, with preclinical evidence of increased caspase-3 activity and an increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio. The program has completed multiple Phase 2 studies in localized fat reduction and is advancing into pivotal Phase 3 development; it has also been studied in cellulite and Dercum's disease-related painful lipomas.
