Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CBO-001** is a next-generation **antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)** developed by **CIS Biopharma** that targets **L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1CAM/CD171)**, a cell surface protein overexpressed in aggressive cancers associated with poor prognosis. It employs a proprietary monoclonal antibody conjugated to topo-isomerase I inhibitors via cleavable linkers, delivering cytotoxic payloads selectively to tumor cells. Preclinical studies in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) patient-derived models demonstrated superior tumor regression compared to cisplatin standard-of-care, with excellent safety profiles in mice and plans for non-human primate studies; efficacy extends to ovarian cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, NSCLC, breast, prostate, gastric, and colorectal cancers.[1][3][5][7][9]
