Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CBP-0276 Acetate is a highly potent, orally bioavailable small therapeutic peptide developed by Clarent Biopharma. It is designed to modulate immune signaling pathways, specifically acting as a Complement C5a receptor 1 antagonist to reduce inflammation and tissue injury while preserving normal immune function. The drug demonstrates activity in the picomolar to femtomolar range and is suitable for both oral and intravenous administration. CBP-0276 has completed a Phase 1 single and multiple ascending dose (SAD/MAD) study in healthy subjects and has achieved its primary endpoint in a Phase 2 clinical study, providing human proof-of-concept for its immune modulation mechanism. It is currently being evaluated in additional Phase 2 trials for conditions where reducing inflammatory responses and mitigating tissue injury provides therapeutic benefit.
