CBP-1602 is a bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Coherent Biopharma for the treatment of solid cancers. It is built upon the company's proprietary Bi-XDC technology platform, which utilizes a bispecific targeting moiety to enhance tumor specificity and internalisation. Unlike conventional ADCs that typically deliver potent cytotoxins such as tubulin or topoisomerase inhibitors, CBP-1602 carries a photodynamic therapy (PDT) payload. This photosensitizer payload is designed to remain inactive until triggered by a specific wavelength of light at the tumor site, where it generates reactive oxygen species to induce localized cell death. This approach aims to combine the precision of bispecific targeting with the controlled, localized toxicity of photodynamic therapy to minimize off-target effects. The specific biological targets of the bispecific component are currently undisclosed.
