Overview

CBP-A08 is a preclinical peptide-type anticancer drug developed by CanBas Co. Ltd. It is an optimized candidate within the TAT-S216/CBP501 lineage. The drug is designed to inhibit Polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1), a key regulator of the cell cycle, by targeting its Polo-box domain (PBD). By disrupting the interaction between Plk1 and its substrates, CBP-A08 induces mitotic arrest and subsequent apoptosis in tumor cells. The program represents a continuation and optimization of the research that produced TAT-S216, aiming to improve the pharmacological properties of the peptide for clinical use. As of the latest pipeline updates, CBP-A08 has completed the optimization phase and is in preclinical development.
