Overview
CBS001 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets and neutralizes LIGHT (Tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 14, TNFSF14), a proinflammatory cytokine implicated in inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. By binding to LIGHT, CBS001 inhibits its stimulatory effects on immune cells, thereby reducing inflammation and fibrosis. The drug was developed for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and fibrotic disorders. It has undergone Phase 1 clinical trials to assess safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity, and pharmacodynamics (PD) in healthy volunteers[1][2][3][7].
