Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CBSD-EXO is a neural stem cell (NSC)-derived exosome therapy under development by Exomas for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. As an extracellular vesicle-based biologic, CBSD-EXO is designed to promote neuroregeneration by inducing NSC proliferation and stimulating neuronal differentiation, including increased neurite outgrowth and dendritic spine density. The therapy also exhibits neuroprotective properties by preventing neuronal apoptosis and restoring neuronal morphology and function. While academic research associated with the program highlights its potential in Parkinson's disease, the candidate is currently positioned for broad applications in neurodegeneration.
