Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CBT-005 refers to at least two distinct investigational drugs in preclinical development: 1. **CBT-005 by Cloudbreak Therapeutics** is an antibody-drug conjugate targeting multiple growth factor pathways including fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), and vascular endothelial growth factor A and its receptors (VEGF-A, VEGFR1, VEGFR2, VEGFR3). Its mechanism of action involves antagonism or inhibition of these targets. The primary indication under investigation is wet age-related macular degeneration; diabetic macular oedema has been explored but is not currently active[1]. 2. **CBT-005 by C-BIOMEX** is a recombinant polypeptide that acts as an inhibitor of atrial natriuretic peptide receptor type B (NPRB). It is being developed for the treatment of achondroplasia[2]. Both versions are in preclinical stages and have not reached clinical trials.
