Overview

CBT-006 is a topical ophthalmic solution containing a beta-cyclodextrin derivative that functions as a cholesterol modulator. It works by dissolving cholesterol and other lipids deposited at the orifice of meibomian glands to improve meibum quality and meibomian gland health. This mechanism addresses one of the root causes of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) associated with Dry Eye Disease (DED).
