Overview

CBT-511 is a chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy that specifically targets Doublecortin-like kinase 1 (DCLK1), a protein marker expressed on tumor stem cells in colorectal cancer (CRC). The CAR-T cells are engineered with a proprietary DCLK1 single-chain antibody variable fragment to selectively attack DCLK1-positive CRC cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that CBT-511 induces significant cytotoxicity in CRC cell lines and reduces tumor growth in xenograft mouse models. CBT-511 is being developed as a novel immunotherapy to eradicate colorectal cancer tumor stem cells resistant to conventional therapies[1].
