Overview

CBX-11 is an experimental oncology drug being developed by Cybrexa Therapeutics that combines the company’s pH-sensitive alphalex tumor-targeting peptide technology with an already approved oral small-molecule PARP inhibitor to selectively deliver PARP inhibition to solid tumors that lack homologous recombination deficiency.[5][8][9] The alphalex technology is designed to exploit the acidic tumor microenvironment to drive preferential uptake of the conjugate into cancer cells, thereby enhancing intratumoral drug exposure while potentially reducing systemic toxicity compared with conventional PARP inhibitor therapy.[5][8] Preclinical data presented by Cybrexa have shown robust antitumor activity of CBX-11 in combination with DNA-damaging chemotherapy across multiple solid-tumor models, supporting its development for patients with homologous recombination–proficient tumors that are typically less responsive to standard PARP inhibitors.[8][9]
