Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CC-03 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by CompleCure for the treatment of gastric cancer. The therapeutic candidate specifically targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a protein often overexpressed in various solid tumors, including gastric malignancies. CC-03 is engineered with an auristatin (AuRI) cytotoxic payload, which is delivered directly to HER2-positive cancer cells upon binding and internalization. Once inside the cell, the auristatin payload disrupts microtubule dynamics, leading to cell cycle arrest and subsequent apoptosis. Currently in the preclinical stage, CC-03 represents a targeted approach to treating HER2-expressing gastric cancer while potentially reducing the off-target effects associated with conventional chemotherapy.
