Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CC-04 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by CompleCure, designed to target carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), also known as CEACAM5. CEA is a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including those of the gastrointestinal tract and head and neck, while having limited expression in normal adult tissues. The ADC mechanism involves the selective binding of the monoclonal antibody to CEA-expressing cancer cells, followed by internalization and the intracellular release of a cytotoxic payload to induce cell death. CC-04 is currently in the preclinical stage of development for the treatment of gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, and pharyngeal cancer.
