CC-1 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) that works by simultaneously binding to CD3 on T cells and PSMA (Prostate-specific membrane antigen) on cancer cells. This dual binding redirects T cells to attack PSMA-expressing cancer cells, primarily in prostate cancer. Clinical trials have shown manageable toxicity profiles, with cytokine release syndrome being the most common side effect.
