Overview

CC-10015 is a small molecule inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) that was developed by Celgene for the treatment of inflammatory disorders, primarily plaque psoriasis. By inhibiting the PDE4 enzyme, the drug prevents the degradation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) within immune cells, leading to the downregulation of various pro-inflammatory mediators, including tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and various interleukins. Clinical development reached Phase 2; however, the program was discontinued as Celgene prioritized the development of its lead PDE4 inhibitor, apremilast (Otezla), which demonstrated a more favorable profile.
