CC-10050

CC-10050 is a small molecule inhibitor of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), originally developed by Celgene Corporation (now part of Bristol Myers Squibb). JNK is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) family that plays a pivotal role in regulating cellular responses to environmental stress, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and apoptotic signals. By inhibiting the JNK pathway, CC-10050 was designed to modulate immune responses and reduce the production of inflammatory mediators such as TNF-alpha. The compound was primarily investigated for the treatment of various immune-mediated and inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis. However, its clinical development appears to have been discontinued in favor of next-generation candidates with improved selectivity or potency.
