Overview

CC-101 (formerly NR1) is an investigational allogeneic neural stem cell therapy developed by Clarion Cells for the treatment of chronic ischemic stroke. The therapy consists of neural stem cells administered via stereotactic intracerebral transplantation into the brain tissue immediately adjacent to a prior stroke lesion. The primary therapeutic objective is to facilitate neural repair and promote motor function recovery in patients with persistent motor impairment following a stroke. CC-101 is currently being evaluated in the Phase 2b suNR1se II clinical trial, which also investigates the role of short-term immunosuppression with tacrolimus to support cell survival and integration.
