Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CC‑11006 is a proprietary, orally available small molecule and thalidomide analog developed as an immunomodulatory and antineoplastic agent. It acts as a cereblon (CRBN) modulator with potential to modulate the expression of proinflammatory and regulatory cytokines. Its mechanisms include immunomodulation, inhibition of interleukin 1 beta and tumor necrosis factor, and stimulation of interleukin 10. The drug was primarily investigated for inflammatory disorders and hematological malignancies such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), but development has been discontinued after reaching phase 1 clinical trials[1][2][3][4][5].
