Overview

CC-92252 (also known as DEL 106) is an investigational recombinant fusion protein designed as a selective agonist of the interleukin 2 receptor (IL-2R), specifically targeting regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs)[1][2][4]. The molecule is an IL‑2 mutein fused to an Fc domain, engineered to increase binding affinity for CD25 and stimulate Treg proliferation and activity while minimizing activation of conventional T cells[5][8]. Its mechanism aims to enhance immune regulation in autoimmune or inflammatory diseases by expanding functional Tregs. Originally developed by Delinia and later advanced by Celgene, with subsequent involvement from Bristol Myers Squibb following corporate acquisitions, its primary clinical focus was psoriasis[1][4]. Development was discontinued after phase 1 trials due to limited evidence for clinical efficacy[6][7].
