CCDC69 siRNA is a small interfering RNA molecule designed to specifically silence the expression of the Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 69 (CCDC69) gene via the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. CCDC69 is a scaffold protein localized to the spindle midzone and midbody, where it plays a vital role in cytokinesis by regulating the recruitment of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC) and the assembly of the central spindle. Research indicates that CCDC69 may act as a tumor suppressor in certain contexts, such as breast cancer, while its depletion via siRNA has been shown to alter microtubule dynamics and increase sensitivity to certain chemotherapeutic agents like cisplatin. Currently, CCDC69 siRNA is primarily utilized as a research tool in laboratory settings to investigate cell cycle regulation and oncogenic signaling pathways.
