Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CCM-SRX is a first-in-class small molecule activator of Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3), the primary mitochondrial sirtuin, developed by CCM Biosciences. Unlike traditional allosteric modulators, CCM-SRX utilizes a novel non-allosteric, steady-state mechanism to upregulate SIRT3 protein activity, aiming to restore mitochondrial function and NAD+ levels that typically decline with age. The drug is currently in the hit-to-lead stage of development for multiple age-related conditions, including female infertility (specifically for in-vitro maturation and in-vitro fertilisation), Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders. Preclinical data indicates that these activators are significantly more potent than standard nutraceutical NAD+ supplements.
