Overview

CCT-001 is a preclinical drug candidate being developed by Centenara Labs (formerly Rejuveron Life Sciences) as part of its Telomere Therapeutics program. The drug is designed to repair and restore shortened telomeres, which are the protective caps at the ends of chromosomes that shorten with cellular division and age. Premature telomere shortening is linked to various genetic and age-related diseases. CCT-001 is specifically being investigated for the treatment of Dyskeratosis Congenita (DC), a rare genetic form of bone marrow failure, and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a progressive lung disease. The specific molecular modality and mechanism of action have not been publicly disclosed.
