Overview

CCT-617 is a preclinical-stage small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic being developed by Canary (also known as Canary Cure or Canary Global) for the treatment of obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The drug is part of Canary's Thermogenic Adipose Reprogramming platform, which utilizes siRNA to modulate thermogenic pathways in adipose tissue. By silencing specific genetic targets involved in metabolic regulation, CCT-617 aims to reprogram white adipose tissue into a more metabolically active state, thereby increasing energy expenditure and improving systemic metabolic health. As of 2024, the program remains in the preclinical development phase.
