Overview

CCT-917 is a preclinical-stage small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Canary (Canary Cure) for the treatment of obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The drug is developed using Canary's 'Reprogram Platform' and 'Thermogenic Adipose Reprogramming' technology, which leverages AI-driven target selection to identify genes involved in metabolic regulation. CCT-917 is specifically designed to promote the 'browning' of white adipose tissue (WAT), a process that converts energy-storing white fat into energy-burning brown-like fat. By inducing this thermogenic program, the therapy aims to increase systemic energy expenditure and provide metabolic protection against weight gain and liver inflammation. It is intended for infrequent subcutaneous administration.
