CCX507-H is an investigational, orally administered small molecule antagonist of the C-C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9). Developed by ChemoCentryx as a second-generation follow-on to their first-generation CCR9 inhibitor, vercirnon (CCX282), CCX507-H is designed to block the migration of inflammatory T cells to the gastrointestinal tract. CCR9 is a chemokine receptor selectively expressed on gut-homing T cells, and its interaction with the ligand CCL25 (TECK) is a key driver of intestinal inflammation. By inhibiting this pathway, CCX507-H is intended for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). The '-H' suffix in the name likely refers to a specific salt formulation, such as hydrochloride, utilized in clinical studies. A Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of CCX507-H in healthy subjects has been completed.
