Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD-002 is a bifunctional antibody-cytokine fusion protein (immunocytokine) developed by CD Biopharma. It comprises a monoclonal antibody directed against Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) fused to the cytokine Interleukin-10 (IL-10). The molecule is designed to target the tumor microenvironment by binding to PD-1 expressing T cells, simultaneously blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory pathway and providing localized IL-10 signaling. While IL-10 has pleiotropic effects, in the context of cancer immunotherapy, it is intended to enhance the metabolic fitness and effector functions of tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells. CD-002 is currently in IND-enabling studies for the treatment of solid tumors, with CMC development initiated.
