Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CD.siNeg.DSPE-PEG-M2pep** is an experimental **M2pep-targeted cyclodextrin-based siRNA nanoparticle** used as a **negative control construct** in prostate cancer tumor microenvironment studies. It consists of an amphiphilic cationic beta-cyclodextrin nanoparticle decorated with **DSPE-PEG-M2pep**, an M2 macrophage-targeting peptide conjugate, and loaded with **non-targeting control siRNA** rather than therapeutic CSF-1R siRNA. The platform was developed in an academic research setting to target tumor-associated M2 macrophages and evaluate targeted delivery performance; however, because the siRNA cargo is non-silencing, this specific construct is not itself the active therapeutic candidate but a comparator formulation for the corresponding CSF-1R siRNA nanoparticle system in preclinical prostate cancer research.
