Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD003 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital for the treatment of plasma cell dyscrasias. It consists of autologous T cells genetically engineered to express a second-generation chimeric antigen receptor targeting the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA; TNFRSF17), a protein highly and selectively expressed on the surface of multiple myeloma cells. Upon administration, these modified T cells recognize and bind to BCMA-expressing malignant cells, leading to T-cell activation, cytokine release, and targeted tumor cell lysis. CD003 is primarily being investigated in clinical trials for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
