CD123 CAR-T is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes CD123 (the alpha subunit of the interleukin-3 receptor), a protein highly expressed on the surface of AML blasts and leukemic stem cells. Once re-infused into the patient, these engineered T cells identify and bind to CD123-positive malignant cells, triggering T-cell activation and cytotoxic activity to eliminate the cancer. The product is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with relapsed or refractory AML.
