**CD151-CD19 CAR-T cells** are an investigational, lentivirally engineered anti-CD19 CAR-T cell product in which healthy-donor T cells co-express the tetraspanin CD151 and an anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor containing CD28 costimulatory and CD3ζ signaling domains. The construct is designed to retain CD19-directed cytotoxicity while enhancing antigen-dependent CAR-T-cell proliferation through CD151 overexpression. In vitro testing reported comparable cytotoxicity, activation, cytokine production, manufacturing expansion, and CAR expression versus conventional CD19 CAR-T cells, with greater proliferation after antigen engagement and no antigen-independent expansion. The program was reported by Kite as a preclinical in vitro CAR-T engineering approach; no clinical indication or clinical-stage trial was identified.
