CD16-MUC1 bispecific antibody is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Benhealth Biopharmaceutical. It is designed as a bispecific immune cell engager that simultaneously binds to CD16 (FcγRIII) on effector cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells and macrophages, and Mucin 1 (MUC1), a glycoprotein overexpressed on the surface of various tumor cells. By facilitating the proximity between immune effector cells and MUC1-positive cancer cells, the antibody triggers antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and other immune-mediated killing mechanisms. This approach is intended for the treatment of MUC1-expressing solid tumors, including breast, lung, and pancreatic cancers.
