CD19-BCMA UCAR-T cells are an investigational allogeneic (universal) chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy that simultaneously targets CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). Developed by Zhongshan People's Hospital, this dual-targeting CAR-T product is derived from healthy donor T-cells, which are engineered to express receptors for both antigens, potentially offering an off-the-shelf treatment option for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. By targeting both CD19 (expressed on some myeloma cells and progenitor cells) and BCMA (highly expressed on mature plasma cells), the therapy aims to enhance anti-tumor efficacy and reduce the risk of relapse due to antigen loss. It is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary clinical activity.
