Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD19 CAR and PD-1 knock out engineered T-cells are autologous T cells that have been genetically modified to express a Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) targeting the CD19 protein and to have the Programmed Death-1 (PD-1) gene knocked out. This investigational medicinal product is designed to treat relapsed or refractory CD19-positive malignant B-cell derived leukemia and lymphoma, including Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Burkitt Lymphoma, by enhancing the T-cells' ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells while overcoming immune checkpoints.
