Overview

CD19 CAR T-cell (Beijing GoBroad Hospital) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD19 antigen. Developed and studied by Beijing GoBroad Hospital, this specific product utilizes murine-derived single-chain variable fragments (scFv) in its CAR construct. It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (r/r B-ALL) in children, adolescents, and young adults. The therapeutic approach involves the ex vivo genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that identifies and eliminates CD19-expressing malignant B cells. In clinical research, it is being compared as a standalone bridging therapy to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) or as part of a sequential infusion protocol with CD22-targeted CAR T-cells to mitigate antigen escape and improve long-term outcomes.
