Overview

CD19-CD22 CAR-T cells (Shanxi Province Cancer Hospital) is an investigational autologous dual-target chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. Developed by the Shanxi Province Cancer Hospital, this therapy is designed to treat relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). The patient's own T cells are genetically modified to express CARs that simultaneously recognize CD19 and CD22 antigens on the surface of malignant B cells. This dual-targeting strategy is intended to mitigate the risk of 'antigen escape,' a common mechanism of resistance where cancer cells lose a single target antigen to evade the immune system. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory acute B lymphocytic leukemia.
