CD19 positive feeder T cells (CD19+ FTCs) are genetically engineered T cells that overexpress the CD19 antigen on their surface. They are used as a cellular therapy adjunct in combination with anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies, particularly for B-cell malignancies such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The primary mechanism involves these CD19+ FTCs acting as artificial antigen-presenting "feeder" cells to stimulate and expand infused anti-CD19 CAR T cells *in vivo* by providing persistent CD19 antigen exposure. This approach aims to enhance the proliferation, persistence, and antitumor activity of CAR T cell products after infusion. In clinical studies, autologous CD19+ FTCs have been administered sequentially with CAR-T infusions to consolidate remission and improve outcomes in patients with Philadelphia chromosome–positive ALL who achieved complete remission[3][5]. These strategies remain investigational.
