Overview

CD19-specific chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CD19 CAR-T) are genetically engineered autologous or allogeneic T cells designed to target and eliminate CD19-expressing B-cell malignancies. CD19 is a cell surface protein widely expressed on normal and malignant B cells, making it an ideal target for therapies against B-cell lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The therapy involves harvesting T cells, engineering them to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that recognizes CD19, and reinfusing them into the patient. Ludaopei Medical Group has evaluated a humanized selective CD19 CAR-T (CD19hs CAR-T) in clinical trials (such as ChiCTR1800017439) to improve persistence and reduce immunogenicity compared to traditional murine-derived CD19 CAR-T therapies.
